People who work towards electrical qualifications and other vocational courses will find it easier to walk into the job of their dreams.

This is according to vocational education organisation City & Guilds, which is marking VQ Day 2010 on June 23rd with the launch of a new campaign called Stars behind the Stars.

The campaign spotlights a number of people who have gone on to find their dream careers and worked with celebrities after acquiring vocational qualifications relevant to their chosen fields.

City & Guilds expressed hope that the campaign will inspire young people to "unleash their talents and be the best they can possibly be".

Chris Jones, director general and chief executive officer of City & Guilds, said: "We hope that our Stars behind the Stars show how you can get into cool and exciting industries with the right qualifications."

VQ Day is led by the independent education foundation Edge and has been running since 2008 as a celebration of the potential of vocational qualifications.
