Electrician courses and changing your career following redundancy!

Plenty of people are struggling and feeling uncertain at this point in time. It's only natural to feel unsettled in such strange times but now it's time to look forward. Look ahead towards new opportunities and objectives. Becoming an electrician is not an easy task, however, we have put years of dedication into crafting training that will make the process as straight forward as possible. Now that we have stability back, retuning to providing electrical training courses and other trades at a steady rate, socially distanced we cannot wait to continue to give people a chance to embark on a new journey. Redundancy can mean new opportunities, including the chance to retrain for a new career, what better way to do so than through electrical courses, working towards self-employment and job stability!

Changing your career with electrician courses following redundancy!

We are always feeling inspired by our students' determination, we heard recently from a previous student who said "I thought it was too late for me, I felt too old and frustrated to start again after I lost my job in marketing but gaining the valuable skills I did at your centre lit that fire in me again. I feel lucky that I took the opportunity when I did, I love the work that I do now" - This student trained with us a couple of years ago and return not too long ago to improve his electrical skill-set with our Level 3 Award in Inspection and Testing where he gained a more advanced understanding of how to interpret test results more effectively when inspecting electrical installations.

Employment uncertainty:

Something like 600,000 people have lost their jobs in the last couple of months, these are people from all types of industries and backgrounds. There will be a lot of people thinking about new careers, now is not the time to wait till it all blows over, now is the time to get ahead with retraining! This number is only set to increase in the coming months with many businesses looking to make changes to their operations and the job retention scheme coming to end. Those that have been furloughed during this lockdown period will also be hunting for new work. Take action and start gaining new skills with our electrician courses!

Why train with us?

Firstly, we award industry-recognised qualifications to our students meaning that once you leave you will have credible evidence of your new-found knowledge and skills. Additionally, it's our reputation and experience that puts us a cut above the rest, we have a reputation for producing quality electricians, people who really know the trade. This is down to our expert instructors who are passionate about teaching and enjoy working at our centre. We have up-to-date equipment and facilities, you will have access to everything you could need to gain real-world practical experience that will translate to working out in the industry...

How do I get started?

The best way to get started is with our City & Guilds Level 2 course, this is a comprehensive introduction to life as an electrician. Over the period of 7-weeks, our City & Guilds Level 2 Electrical Course will help you to progress from the basics to more advanced aspects of the trade, additionally, the course will also provide an understanding of the Health & Safety requirements governing electrical installation processes, and knowledge of the organisation and structure of the electrical industry...Here's a look inside our centre at some students getting stuck in with hands-on practical experience...
