A number of new opportunities look set to open up for plumbers and electricians across the UK as the deadline for the Renewable Heat Premium Payment voucher scheme fast approaches.
Applications for the scheme, which aims to assist households that do not have access to the main gas grid with the price of installing renewable heating installations, must be made by 31 March 2014.
The scheme provides a solid opportunity for homeowners to replace their inefficient and dated heating systems with renewable alternatives, such as biomass boilers, solar thermal energies and heat pumps. By replacing the inefficient systems, homeowners can expect to cut the price of their energy bills as well as dramatically lowering their carbon emissions.
