Reading the news that yet another Gas Engineer has been caught working dangerously in people’s homes, we thought that it may be a good time to remind everyone reading how important it is to ensure that only fully qualified competent Gas Engineers carry out work on peoples homes! The work that this engineer completed on a house in St Helens included fitting a new Gas and heating system. The engineer in question completed the work but left the flue terminating in the loft of the property, allowing fuel to make its way into the property. This resulted in the boiler being left in an “ Immediately Dangerous Condition.”
