It is no secret at all that the HSE (Health and Safety Executive) severely punishes those Gas Engineers who are out performing work with gas and who do not have the proper registration. In February 2021 four men we handed suspended prison sentences following breaching the Gas Safety Regulations of 1998. You may wonder why the HSE dishes out such harsh penalties in comparison to other trades, this is because the Gas Safe Register showed that one-fifth of all gas work investigated by them is found to be immediately dangerous, and posed a serious risk for the health and safety of those who are in close proximity to the work!
