Installers encouraged to take advantage of Green Homes Grant extension!
As a provider of both Plumbing courses and Gas training courses it is important that we keep informed on what's going on in the industry. The UK's Prime Minister Boris Johnson has confirmed an extension of the £2bn Green Homes Grants to “help more households and tradespeople benefit, as Britain builds back greener from coronavirus”. The grant aims to help homeowners across the country update their living space with things like low-carbon heating like heat pumps, but not gas boilers. The grant will cover upgrades of up to £5,000 and those homeowners with low-incomes, including those on certain benefits, are eligible for a grant covering up to 100% of the cost of works up to the maximum £10,000. Homeowners across England will now have until the end of March 2022 to have energy efficiency upgrades to their homes completed through the voucher scheme. The government is now encouraging those in the plumbing and heating industry to take advantage of this opportunity for work.
The grant will ultimately mean more opportunities for work for those in the industry. If you are a working Gas Engineer or Heating Installer this is a great chance for extra income - If you want to be a part of the Green Homes Grant scheme to apply for TrustMark registration and Microgeneration Certification Scheme or Publicly Accessible Standards certification as soon as possible. To get involved with this scheme then all energy efficiency installers must be certified and compliant with to participate in the Green Homes Grant Voucher Scheme. If you install low carbon heat measures such as heat pumps, you must be certified with the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).

If you live a considerable distance from our training centre then you may be interested in our accommodation. We offer accommodation exclusively to our students for the reasonable price of just £20 per night! The properties will provide you with your own fully furnished room with washing facilities and TV. There are several bathrooms/WCs as well as fully fitted kitchens and a dining areas to eat and/or meet your fellow students. - If you are interested make sure t contact us ahead of your courses starting date as spaces are limited!
