It's getting cold out, be prepared!

It's getting cold out, get your boiler sorted!

Winter is approaching and it's getting colder by the day! So it seems about the right time to get your boiler checked out. The last thing you want to happen is you release there's a fault with your boiler when its too late and the kids are frozen...This might come as a surprise, but out of all the improvements you can make to your home to increase its value, the most profitable one is to have a new boiler installed. It's true a new boiler will not only save you during the winter months but it may also help you later down the line if you decide to move on from your current property.

Gas courses Gas Safe Registered Engineer.

Keep this in mind:

If you are going to hire an engineer to service your boiler, make sure you use a reputable company and that the engineer is Gas Safe Registered! This is a legal requirement when working on gas in the UK and can be very detrimental if not adhered to for both the engineer and your safety. All registered engineers will be carrying their ID card on them, on the ID card will be a unique number (each engineer has their own number) you can type this number into the Gas Safe website to check their legitimacy and see if they have passed and can legally carry out work.

According to British Gas, they are already experiencing a 33% increase in callouts. Boiler breakdowns are commonplace in the winter because too often people ignore their boilers and some are even unserviced for a number of years...A boiler that has been left without service can cause some serious problems that can seriously affect your family and yourself. For example, CO or Carbon Monoxide poisoning can be extremely harmful, causing headaches, dizziness and after long exposure can even be fatal!
