A team of plumbing course attendees has helped a primary school to revamp its toilets, which have been causing trouble for years, according to the establishment's head teacher.

Chris Ward, from Ann Cam Primary School in Dymock, Gloucestershire, explained to BBC News that the facilities had not been installed with infants-level youngsters in mind.

But he revealed that these problems are now a thing of the past, after a group of technicians on plumbing courses at a nearby Bristol college transformed the rooms and made them much easier to use.

"For many years we have received complaints from our infant children and their parents that the toilets were not suitable for them," Mr Ward was quoted as saying.

Last week, the father of a plumbing course student - Ron Marshall - described to 24dash.com how proud he is when he sees the quality of work his son is carrying out in the local area.
