Despite of present UK cutbacks, last years' introduction of the FeedIn Tariff has helped to make a significant contribution to growth in the renewable energy sector, especially in solar PV installation. A recent survey conducted on behalf of the Renewable Energy Association of around 1,400 accredited PV solar panel installers - of whom, around half responded - shows a 230 per cent employment increase, year on year, within their specific industry after the FeedIn Tariff launch in 2010.According to the number of actual survey replies, the predicted figure for 2011 is somewhere in the region of 6,600, although a more accurate total is likely to be around 17,500 trained and qualified PV installers, entirely within the small scale residential sector -?
