With hundreds of students training at Able Skills every month, we love hearing about their motivation, why they want to learn a new skill, and what their plans are once they’ve completed the course.
Our latest student story is from the Introduction to Plastering course a few weeks ago. We caught up with Nathan to find out a bit more about his reasons for doing the course, how he’s getting on and why he chose Able Skills.
What’s your name, what course are you currently doing and why?
“My name is Nathan and I'm doing an introduction to plastering. I'm only taking this course for DIY projects in our house.”
Many students do a course for that reason. The introductory courses are a great way to build up some basic skills and gain confidence. As these courses are approved by City & Guilds, if you enjoy the training and want to take it further, moving on to a more advanced course and qualification is possible.

“I chose Able Skills because of the good reviews online, the detail of the course and the content and the skills that were being covered.”

“The instructors are knowledgeable. If you have any questions, they're able to explain to us and answer what we need when things aren't going quite right. They're quick to explain what the problem is, how we've caused it, and how we can go about solving it.”

“The week has been really enjoyable.”
