The value and importance of good plumbing courses has been highlighted by the potential £50 million sale of a West London-based plumbing company.
Pimlico Plumbers, who have customers such as Hugh Grant and Keira Knightley on their books, is currently in talks with American millionaire Jim Zockoll concerning a minority share purchase of the company.
Owned by Charlie Mullins, Pimlico Plumbers saw its sales increase to £12.6 million for 2009/10 compared to £11.9 million in 2008/09, which allowed it to report an annual profit of £343,168.
Mr Mullins put the increase down to the company's quality service for a range of home maintenance needs, including carpentry and appliance repair as well as plumbing and their 12 month guarantee.
Pimlico Plumbers now have plans to expand beyond the M25 if the deal with Mr Zockoll goes ahead. The success of the firm indicates the benefits of plumbers having completed plumbing courses.
