What does the training include?

The bathroom fitting course is split into three key areas, each of which forms an essential part of the overall process. 

Plumbing skills

The first is a focus on plumbing skills. Throughout this section you’ll focus on core skills such as plumbing systems and fittings, soldering techniques, joining, bending and pressure testing copper tube, handling valves, taps and coasters, plumbing pipework and health and safety. 

Tiling skills

Next, is a focus on tiling skills, this section of learning will ensure you are confident in both wall and floor tiling, covering things like setting out your tiling, different kinds of adhesives, cutting tiles, the different kinds of tools available, tiling around socketed areas and uneven walls and other essential skills. 

Plastering skills

Finally, plastering will complete the course, equipping you with everything you need to comfortably prepare any bathroom. This block of learning will cover everything from cutting and fixing plasterboard, taping standing and internal joints and cutting and fixing angle beads to preparing surfaces and mixing plastering materials. 

How long does the course take to complete?

The bathroom fitting course is designed to be completed in three weeks, either consecutively or in separate blocks. with parts of the course also possible to complete on a weekend basis.

The plumbing section lasts one week, and can only be completed on a Mon - Fri basis. Both the tiling and plastering segments also last a week each, or can be adjusted to be completed over two weekends.
