This is a collection of training courses focused on teaching you to become an electrician from scratch. From a novice level to fully qualified and classed as an ‘Approved Electrician’, this package of learning has everything that you need. Initially, this course will involve 16-weeks of training with assessments for your AM2 and NVQ following on from there at a convenient times.

How this option works:

City & Guilds Level 2 Electrical course:

Firstly, you will take on our City & Guilds Level 2 course which is 7-weeks of training. You'll be taught through a mix of both hands-on practical experience in our workshops learning the fundamental skills of an electrician and classroom-based theory lessons. This is the ultimate starting point for any aspiring electrician and is the initial qualification for most looking to work in the trade.

City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical course:

Next, you will look to take on the City & Guilds Level 3 course - This course will expand on the previous and will look to introduce you to more advanced aspects of the trade and engage with that next level of electrical knowledge and skills, providing an advanced understanding of electrical science, inspection & testing procedures, fault diagnosis and rectification and installation design.

18th Edition course:

Following on from there you will look to gain an understanding of the latest wiring regulations with our 3-day 18th Edition course. Anybody who works with electrical installations should have a good understanding of the regulations. Our course aims to help you to become familiar with the regulations and their applications through classroom sessions and completed through an online open-book exam.

PAT Testing:

Next up, 2-days for PAT Testing or Portable Appliance Testing. This option will help you to learn how to properly inspect and test appliances. As well as being able to properly interpret the results. This is predominantly a theory based course as there are on-line exams to complete, however, there is also a practical assessment associated with the C&G 2377-22 award so practical training with the aid of PAT testing equipment will be undertaken.

Inspection and Testing:

Finally, you will come to gain a solid understanding of how to properly carry out Inspection and Testing on electrical installations. This course is 6-days long and will look to develop the knowledge and practical skills required to professionally install and carry out initial verification and periodic inspection and testing on electrical installations which is a vital and an essential skill for electricians across the board.
