Time to make a change? Start a career with Electrician courses!

During these strange times, your employment status may have changed. If you're tired of job uncertainty then why not become your own boss! Many, if not most electricians work on a self-employed basis. Meaning they rely on themselves and themselves only for their income; choose your own hours and take breaks when you want. Becoming an Electrician is not easy, however, with our many years of experience, we make the entire process from beginner to expert as linear and as simple as possible through our Electrician courses...

Our instructors are extremely experienced in the trade and have a great way of conveying the lessons they've learnt out in the industry to our students...Why not give electrician courses a try? We know that this is a difficult time and there will be people being made redundant, maybe now is the time to take a different route and aspire to build a brand new career! The coronavirus pandemic has taken its toll on all of us in different ways, we know that there will be an influx of people looking for new opportunities once the job retention scheme is up and people are no longer furloughed. We are here to help as best as we can to kick-start new possibilities and provide a safe and reliable space to learn and develop!

So, how do I get started?

We offer a full-range of Electrician courses at our centre. Meaning we offer every single qualification needed to not only become an electrician but to further develop your skills and understanding once you become a professional. We would suggest, as somebody starting to re-train that you look into our City & Guilds Level 2 course. This is a great starting point as it will teach you the fundamentals over 7-weeks, looking at developing some regulation knowledge, practical skills and science required for electrical installation work; as the course progresses you will gain extensive knowledge of the theory of Electrics. The course will also provide an understanding of the Health & Safety requirements governing electrical installation processes, and knowledge of the organisation and structure of the electrical industry within which these activities are carried out.

If the idea of taking on 7-weeks of training is intimidating because of a lack of experience then maybe try out Introduction to Basic Domestic Electrics course first. This is a 10-day electrical training program that will help you to gain the basic practical skills to undertake a domestic electrical installation safely. This will also act as a taster of the trade and ultimately give you an opportunity to know if the trade is for you and if you enjoy it and could see yourself working this kind of role on a daily basis. The practical aspects give you the opportunity to work in areas building various circuits, the theory sessions ensure that you understand why you are building these circuits and how to ensure safety whilst working with electrics.
