The demand for tradespeople is as high as it has ever been. Post-lockdown, the inevitable rise of the population looking to renovate or “fix up” their home is clear. People are looking to make home improvements, housing targets are back underway, commercial projects and construction sites are back in action.
In the midsts of this increased demand tradespeople are seeing their earnings rise as there are not enough qualified people to keep up with the demand. In fact, there are more vacancies in the industry than ever before. This shortage in skilled workers is raising the cost to higher people like Plumbers and Electricians across the country.

This rise is demand has come from not only the delay that the pandemic caused on projects around the country but also homeowners. The fact is people have spent an exaggerated amount of time at home. Which has resulted in a rise in home improvement projects and domestic emergencies.
This news is great for people who are already out working in the industry and equally for those who newly qualified or who are looking to start a new career. This is a great time to start an electrical or plumbing business in the UK. There is a clear gap in the industry that will allow new business to grow quickly.

Plumbing courses:
If you are looking to start a career in plumbing then you will want to gain a City & Guilds Level 2 qualification. Our option is 6-weeks in total. The course will give you a fantastic insight into the fundamentals of of the trade. This option is perfect for those who don't have much experience with plumbing and are looking to change career.
The course will cover a variety of different topics giving you a new set of practical skills as well as an understanding of the theory behind plumbing. Once you have successful passed the exams and earned your qualification with us you will be able to go and gain some experience on the job.
Then, to really kick-start your career you will want to take on a NVQ Level 2 Plumbing Assessment which is an on-site test. We have assessors in-place that can carry this process out with you through two visits to your place of work. Completing an NVQ is an important step as it is a requirement for most work sites in the UK.
Electrician courses:
Electrician courses are the most popular training option that we offer. We are a Centre of Excellence for electrical trining and focus on helping our students become fully-qualified electricians.

This 14-week collection of courses and assessments will take you from beginner to professional. This comprehensive guide to the trade provides all of the training and assessments that anyone looking to achieve JIB Gold Card status will require.

If you live elsewhere in the country and want to train with us you should know that we offer accomodation. We have multiple accomodation properties within a short walk of our centre that can be booked by our students for just £20 per night! If you are interested make sure to contact us ahead of your starting date as spaces are limited.
